The challenge.

Shade structures are what marketers call a search-first purchase. The buyer already has a problem (a patio, a playground, a parking lot that's unusable in the heat) and searches for a solution in the moment. In that window, they typically review two to three companies before making contact. The decision comes down to whichever site communicates competence fastest.

Tensoshade's previous site worked against that pattern. Page load times were slow, mobile navigation was difficult, and there was no clear conversion path once a visitor arrived. This created a mismatch: the company runs an in-house design and engineering team and holds a BBB A+ rating, but none of that credibility was reaching the site fast enough to matter. At the same time, paid ad spend was directing traffic to a homepage that wasn't built to convert it, regardless of how well-targeted the ads were.

What we did.

We treated this as two problems that had to be solved in order. The site had to work before the traffic was worth sending.

  • Website rebuilt mobile-first, structured around minimizing the number of steps between arrival and quote request.
  • Google Ads restructured around high-intent search terms, with each campaign pointing to a landing page matched to that specific query instead of routing everyone to the homepage.
  • Social media management maintaining a consistent record of finished installations, since visible proof of past work lowers the perceived risk of requesting a quote.
  • Conversion tracking implemented across the funnel, so every lead can be attributed to the campaign that generated it.

The result.

The site now performs on the metrics that determine whether a visitor converts: load speed, mobile usability, and a clear next action. Paid traffic lands on pages built for the intent behind the search, rather than a generalized homepage that requires the visitor to do additional work.

The more durable change is the tracking layer. With attribution in place, budget can be assessed and reallocated based on which campaigns produce quote requests, rather than which ones simply produce clicks.

The site finally does the selling instead of just sitting there.
